The story behind
TOY EIGHT.

I have mild dyslexia. As a child, whenever I tried to read a school textbook, the letters would blur and shift before my eyes. Despite my deep desire to learn, the traditional academic system always placed me at the bottom. It wasn’t until I was nearly 20 years old that I was diagnosed. That moment of clarity changed everything—understanding my challenges and finding the right strategies unlocked a world of possibilities for me.

I often wonder: What if I had discovered my learning style earlier? My entire educational experience could have been different. And more than that, I realized that so many children struggle in silence, unable to reach their full potential simply because they lack access to the right support.

The early years, from birth to age six, are critical. This is when a child’s brain and body develop at an extraordinary rate. Early detection and intervention during this period can profoundly shape a child’s future. As a father of two daughters, I want them—and every child—to have the opportunity to embrace learning in a way that truly fits them, so they can grow with confidence and joy.

Yet, across ASEAN, many children are left without developmental support due to geographic and economic disparities. TOY EIGHT was founded to bridge this gap by creating a digital developmental screening and intervention program that makes early support accessible, even in areas with limited specialists.

We are committed to expanding access to developmental support and pushing inclusive education forward from Asia to the world. This is our mission, and we will keep challenging barriers until every child has the opportunity to thrive.
